Choosing a product
What is the difference between Organic Superfood and Advanced Multi?
Organic Superfood is the original blend: organic greens, sea vegetables, superfruits and dairy-free probiotic cultures. Advanced Multi is that same whole-food base plus a complete multivitamin built from food sources: vitamin D3, plant calcium from AlgaeCal, a B complex from holy basil, lemon and guava, vitamin C from camu camu berry, and organic fulvic acid.
If you want one product to replace both a greens powder and a multivitamin, take Advanced Multi. If you already take a multivitamin you are happy with, Organic Superfood is the simpler choice.
Which one should I start with?
Raw is the unflavored original, green and grassy, and best in juice or a smoothie rather than plain water. Wild Berry and Amazon Chocolate are sweeter and mix well with water or milk on their own. Reds is a blend of red superfruits rather than greens, for people who want the berry end of the range. Advanced Multi comes in Raw and Wild Berry.
Powder or capsules?
The same nutrition, a different routine. The powder gives you a full serving in one scoop and lets you mix it into whatever you are already drinking. Greens Plus Capsules (240 count) are for travel, for the office, and for anyone who would rather not taste greens at all.
Should I buy a powder or an energy bar?
They do different jobs. A powder is your daily serving of greens. A +PlusBar is food: a pre-workout, a snack, or a light meal when there is not time for a real one.
Do you make anything for weight loss?
No. We do not market any Greens Plus product as a weight-loss product. Advanced Multi is 35 calories per serving and some people use it in place of a snack as part of an overall plan, but that is a decision to make with your doctor or dietitian, not one we make for you.
Taking Greens Plus
When is the best time of day to take it?
First thing in the morning on an empty stomach, or right before lunch.
How many servings a day?
Advanced Multi is formulated for up to two servings a day. The Organic Superfood powders (Raw, Wild Berry, Amazon Chocolate and Reds) can be taken up to three times a day. Most people are happy with one.
What can I mix it with?
Cold water, fresh juice, a smoothie, a protein shake, or yogurt. Keep it cold. There are ideas on our recipes page.
Can I stir it into a hot drink or bake with it?
Please do not. Greens Plus is processed without heat so that its enzymes and live probiotic cultures survive, and heat undoes exactly that. Cold liquids only.
How long until I notice a difference?
Many people notice a lift in energy within the first few days. For others it takes a week or more. The herbal ingredients are deliberately kept at gentle doses, so the effect tends to build rather than arrive all at once.
Can I take it with my prescription medication?
Leave at least an hour between Greens Plus and any prescription medication. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start. They know what you are taking and how it behaves, and we do not.
Should I still take a multivitamin?
If you are taking Advanced Multi, you generally do not need to. It is built to be a whole-food multivitamin. Organic Superfood has no added vitamins and minerals, so a multivitamin still has a place alongside it. Either way, check with your healthcare provider before stacking supplements.
Is Greens Plus safe for children?
It is a food-based powder and plenty of parents mix it into juice. Start with a small fraction of an adult serving, scaled to the size of the child, and talk to your pediatrician before you begin.
Can I take it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Always consult a healthcare professional before beginning any supplement program during pregnancy or nursing. Many women have taken Greens Plus through both. If your provider gives you the go-ahead, start with a teaspoon and work up to a full serving.
What is in it
What do these superfoods give me that ordinary food does not?
Nutrient density. Everything in the blend is a whole food rather than an isolated nutrient, and each ingredient was chosen for a high ratio of nutrients to calories: organic cereal grasses, sea vegetables such as spirulina and chlorella, and high-ORAC superfruits such as acai and acerola. One scoop is a concentrated version of foods most people do not eat enough of.
Is it organic and non-GMO?
Yes. Our powders are USDA Certified Organic, and every ingredient across the range is certified free of GMOs, pesticides and herbicides.
Is Greens Plus raw?
Yes. We cold-process everything, which is what preserves the enzyme activity and the live cultures.
How many probiotics are in a serving?
Organic Superfood Raw carries a 200 mg dairy-free probiotic blend in every scoop: L. acidophilus, L. casei, L. plantarum, L. rhamnosus, and Bifidobacterium breve and longum, blended with fructo-oligosaccharides to feed them.
What are fructo-oligosaccharides? Is that a sweetener?
No. FOS is a prebiotic fiber from plant sources, not an artificial sweetener and nothing to do with saccharin. It is in the blend as food for the probiotic cultures, which is why the two appear together on the label.
I am allergic to gluten. Can I take Greens Plus?
Yes. All Greens Plus powders and all +PlusBars are gluten-free. The FDA allows a product to be labeled gluten-free below 20 parts per million; several of ours test below 3 ppm.
Is it vegan and dairy-free? Is there soy in it?
The powders are vegan and dairy-free, including the probiotic cultures, and there is no soy. Advanced Multi uses lecithin from GMO-free sunflower rather than soy.
I am sensitive to bees. Is there royal jelly in it?
No. Older Greens Plus formulas contained royal jelly; the current formulas do not. The powders are vegan and contain no bee products.
Is there caffeine in Greens Plus?
The greens powders contain no caffeine source. The one exception is Amazon Chocolate, where the organic Amazon cacao brings roughly 12 mg per serving, about what you would get from a quarter cup of coffee. The lift from a +PlusBar is not caffeine either; it comes from complex carbohydrates, protein and the superfoods themselves.
Is Greens Plus kosher?
Our +PlusBar Energy bars are OU Kosher certified.
Is it sweetened?
Organic Superfood Raw and Wild Berry are sweetened with organic stevia leaf and organic stevia extract. Amazon Chocolate also contains a small amount of raw organic cane sugar. The full ingredient panel is on every product page.
What are the two packets inside the jar?
Packaging, not food. Take them out and throw them away. One is food-grade silica, which absorbs moisture and oxygen. The second is a preservation packet that helps protect heat-sensitive nutrients. Our bottles are also nitrogen-flushed before sealing to drive out the oxygen.
Storing it
How should I store Greens Plus?
Unopened, a cool dry cupboard is fine. Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator. The living plant foods and probiotic cultures break down when exposed to light, heat and oxygen, and the fridge slows all three.
Is it sensitive to heat?
Yes. Heat deactivates the enzymes and kills the probiotic cultures. Do not leave a jar in a hot car, and do not stir it into anything warm.

How much is shipping?
Free on orders over $50 within the continental United States. Below that, a flat $6.99.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to most countries, with the exception of Canada. Some products cannot be shipped internationally at all, and international rates are weight-based, so you will see the cost at checkout before you commit to the order.
What is your return policy?
Thirty days from delivery, for a full refund, even if you have opened it. If the return is our mistake, the wrong item or a damaged one, we pay the return shipping as well.
How do I return something?
Sign in, open My Account, click Complete Orders, find the order and choose Return Item(s). We will email you as soon as the refund is processed. Allow up to four weeks end to end: transit back to us, a few days here to process it, and then your bank’s own timeline.
